Partially Hydrolyzed Formula for Fussiness, Gas and Crying

Parent's Choice Gentle® Formula offers complete nutrition and is sold exclusively at Walmart locations across the country and around the world. Gentle® is a partially hydrolyzed formula. Even though this infant formula contains cow's milk, the milk protein in the formula is partially hydrolyzed, or broken down into smaller parts to aid with digestion. Fussiness, gas and crying re often associated with digestion, necessitating the need for an easy-to-digest formula.

Parent's Choice Gentle® features ingredients that support brain development:

  • Cognitive
  • Social
  • Motor
  • Communication

Our Gentle® baby formula is a milk-based low lactose formula, containing 25% less lactose than standard, milk formula. If your baby seems to be having trouble with feedings, ask a healthcare professional about Parent's Choice Gentle® Infant Formula.

  • For Fussiness, Gas & Crying
  • Easy-to-Digest Formula
  • Experts Recommend DHA & Choline

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends all infants be fed breast milk or a milk-based infant formula for at least 12 months. Parent's Choice Gentle® Formula offers complete nutrition with pediatrician-preferred milk protein; the proteins are just broken down into smaller parts.

Partially Broken Down Whey Protein for Easier Digestion

Milk–based infant formulas are the most commonly used infant nutrition products on the market today. According to the Mayo Clinic, most infants are fed a conventional or standard cow's milk-based baby formula. For some, however, especially those who may be sensitive to milk proteins, other types of infant formula may be recommended by a healthcare professional.

Most babies are fussy or gassy at times. It is a common occurrence for babies, whose digestive systems are continuing to develop. But if you suspect your baby's fussiness or gas doesn't seem quite right, check with your baby's doctor. He or she may recommend:

  • A milk-based infant formula that has partially broken down whey protein.
  • A soy-based infant formula offering vegetarian nutrition.

Milk-based formulas are preferred by physicians. A soy formula offers a vegetarian, lactose-free alternative when soy protein is preferred and recommended by a doctor. Soy-based formulas can be useful if parents want to exclude animal proteins from their baby's diet or if their baby is sensitive to lactose. Speak with your pediatrician about our milk-based Gentle® today.

You can be certain the Parent's Choice offers different types of formulas that meet the recommendations of pediatricians, just like the advertised national formula brands.

Nutrients Found in Breast Milk: Inosital, DHA, Vitamins & Minerals

Parent's Choice Infant Formula is inspired by mother's milk. It features DHA, a fatty acid for brain and eye development that is found naturally in breast milk. It also contains choline, which occurs naturally in mother's milk and supports brain and eye development.

Emerging research suggests inositol--a carbohydrate found naturally in breast milk--may play a role in brain development. Inositol is also abundant in colostrum--the initial breast milk produced during pregnancy--and mature breast milk.

Inspired by breast milk, Parent's Choice Gentle Infant Formula contains dual prebiotics for immune support and digestive health, as well as antioxidant vitamins and minerals, including Vitamin A, C, E, and Zinc for immune support.

Parent's Choice Non-GMO Infant Formulas

Parent's Choice has introduced Non-GMO infant formulas for customers who prefer non-GMO products. Parent's Choice Non-GMO infant formulas are produced using ingredients that have not been genetically engineered and are available as store brands at your favorite stores.

A genetically modified organism (GMO) is a plant or animal that has been altered using genetic engineering to produce a desirable characteristic. Genetic engineering involves methods different from traditional breeding techniques. A few state governments and many consumers support laws that mandate labels disclose when a food product contains genetically engineered ingredients.

We use the word "Non-GMO" as it is most broadly used in the United States. When we say Parent's Choice Formula is Non-GMO, we mean it is produced using ingredients that have not been genetically engineered.

Although "GMO" means genetically modified organism, oftentimes it is not how the acronym is used by consumers in the United States. This is because "GMO" is often used to describe products that are manufactured without intentionally added organisms.

We consider an infant formula to be "Non-GMO" if it uses ingredients from crops that do not have a genetically engineered version in the marketplace or, if an ingredient could come from a crop that has a genetically engineered version, that ingredient comes from the version of the crop that has not been genetically engineered.

We believe transparency is critical. Even though we take measures to eliminate genetically engineered material in our ingredients, trace amounts of genetically engineered materials might be present in our products. We disclose that trace levels may be present in finished product from process sources and manufacturing environments. Additionally, some methods used to obtain ingredients (such as fermentation) may involve genetically modified microorganisms or genetically engineered substrate.

Animal feed in the United States is often genetically engineered. This may mean some dairy ingredients used in the manufacture of non-GMO infant formulas may originate from cows fed some feed containing genetically engineered ingredients. This is common among many dairy-based non-GMO foods on the market today.
