Certified Organic Formula
Parent's Choice Organic Infant Formula is certified organic in accordance with USDA regulations and meets National Organic Program (NOP) guidelines for substances to be used in organic production. This means that the milk in our organic baby formula comes from cows that are fed organic feed, raised with access to the outdoors, and provided feed without antibiotics or growth hormones.
Parent's Choice Organic Infant Formula offers the same complete nutrition as Similac® Advance® Organic formula** but costs up to 50% less money.*** Our organic baby formula is manufactured in Vermont, U.S.A., and meets all FDA, USDA, and AAP nutritional requirements for infant formulas. Our factory adheres to the standards outlined by the National Organic Program (NOP) and is certified by QAI to manufacture organic baby formula that is fully compliant with the USDA.
Trusted by Pediatricians and Parents
Organic nutrition starts with breastfeeding. Medical and scientific communities agree on the benefits of mother's milk. The AAP and leading experts also agree that infant formula is the only other responsible option when it comes to feeding baby.
Recipes of homemade baby formula published on the Internet are dangerous. The FDA does not regulate recipes for homemade formulas; it only regulates commercially available "infant formulas" manufactured by leading infant formula companies. According to its website, "The potential problems associated with errors in selecting and combining the ingredients for the formula are very serious and range from severe nutritional imbalances to unsafe products that can harm infants. Because of these potentially very serious health concerns, FDA does not recommend that consumers make infant formulas at home."
Commercially available infant formula is the most highly regulated food and is carefully quality controlled and manufactured to the highest standards. The infant formula industry supports more research in infant nutrition than any other entity. These research efforts have significantly advanced public understanding and have led to significant improvements in infant health.
Millions of babies have been fed Parent's Choice Infant Formula. Many switch from a name brand to the nutritionally comparable Parent's Choice Formula. According to a new clinical study, switching baby formula is safe and well tolerated among infants. So if you're interested in an organic baby formula, be sure to ask your child's pediatrician about Parent's Choice Organic Infant Formula at Walmart.
Parent's Choice Non-GMO Infant Formulas
Parent's Choice has introduced Non-GMO infant formulas for customers who prefer non-GMO products. Parent's Choice Non-GMO infant formulas are produced using ingredients that have not been genetically engineered and are available as store brands at your favorite stores.
A genetically modified organism (GMO) is a plant or animal that has been altered using genetic engineering to produce a desirable characteristic. Genetic engineering involves methods different from traditional breeding techniques. A few state governments and many consumers support laws that mandate labels disclose when a food product contains genetically engineered ingredients.
We use the word "Non-GMO" as it is most broadly used in the United States. When we say Parent's Choice Formula is Non-GMO, we mean it is produced using ingredients that have not been genetically engineered.
Although "GMO" means genetically modified organism, oftentimes it is not how the acronym is used by consumers in the United States. This is because "GMO" is often used to describe products that are manufactured without intentionally added organisms.
We consider an infant formula to be "Non-GMO" if it uses ingredients from crops that do not have a genetically engineered version in the marketplace or, if an ingredient could come from a crop that has a genetically engineered version, that ingredient comes from the version of the crop that has not been genetically engineered.
We believe transparency is critical. Even though we take measures to eliminate genetically engineered material in our ingredients, trace amounts of genetically engineered materials might be present in our products. We disclose that trace levels may be present in finished product from process sources and manufacturing environments. Additionally, some methods used to obtain ingredients (such as fermentation) may involve genetically modified microorganisms or genetically engineered substrate.
Animal feed in the United States is often genetically engineered. This may mean some dairy ingredients used in the manufacture of non-GMO infant formulas may originate from cows fed some feed containing genetically engineered ingredients. This is common among many dairy-based non-GMO foods on the market today.
